Recipe for bread with sofran
If at one time the habit of making bread at home seemed lost, more and more housewives have started making bread at home again; especially now that there is the possibility to put all sorts of flavours in the dough, such as sofranulfor example.
Ingredients
- 500g flour
- 250 ml lukewarm milk,
- 25g yeast,
- 50g melted and cooled butter,
- 1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon sugar
- ½ sachet saffron (0.12 g pure saffron powder)
Step 1
Place the ingredients in a bowl.
Step 2
In a cup mix sofranul with 2 tablespoons of milk and let stand for a while. Put the milk, sugar and fresh yeast in a bowl and leave to rise for 5 min. Separately, put the flour, butter, salt and sugar in a bowl and then the milk with the yeast.
Step 3
Mix everything together with a spoon then, when the dough becomes stiffer, put it on the table and knead until the dough becomes elastic and silky.
Step 4
Place the dough in the floured bowl and cover with a clean towel. Let rise until doubled in volume - about 45 min. Preheat the oven to very high; place the tray with the dough in the oven and bake on low heat for about 30-40 min.
Step 5
Remove the bread when baked, moisten the crust with cold water and cover with a kitchen towel until ready to eat.
Nothing is more enjoyable than a warm crust of bread with the aroma of saffron!
